Abstract—Due to an encouragement of renewable energy, an implantation of oil palm in Thailand is increased. It affects the amount of water consumption in each area. From this point, the aim of this work is to evaluated water footprint (WF) of oil palm fresh fruit bunches using CROPWAT program. The water footprint assessment of fresh fruit bunches in Pathumthani and Chonburi provinces are comparatively studied finding the suitable plantation area in term of water availability. In addition, the appropriate blue water footprint calculation methods and weather data sources are evaluated. The results revealed that Chonburi is more suitable plantation area than Pathumthani. In addition, the results from this study can be used as a water management approach for sustainable agriculture.
