Abstract

This paper focuses on the analysis of level ofknowledge, awareness, and attitudes towardspro-environmental behaviors among people in BangkokMetropolitan region. The sample study comprises of 326respondents from 6 provinces in Thailand who had 15 years oldand above which questionnaires were used as instrument ofsurvey. The results of Pearson Correlation showed a significantrelationship between awareness and attitude onpro-environmental behaviors among respondents. However,environment knowledge was not statistically significantcorrelated with other variables. Further analysis, MultipleRegression Analysis reveals a significant positive associationbetween the respondents’ pro-environmental behaviors and thetwo determinant factors i.e. attitudes and awareness. This studycontributes to the literature by explaining the links betweenenvironmental awareness, attitudes, knowledge and realpro-environmental behaviors and defines the strength anddirection among these variables. The findings generated fromthe study could help environmental management planners toestablish policies and standards in order to encouragesustainable development.
