Abstract—The land of Dieng Plateau managed by the farmers in not sustainable way and now it’s faced environmental problems, mainly erosion. This research aim to analyse the impact of potato farm that caused environmental degradation and the implementation of carica agroforestry in Dieng Plateau to reduce degradation. The method of this research is analysing qualitative and quantitative data from observation, interview, and literatures study. The result of this research proven that the rate of erosion can be reduced by the using of agroforestry, the erosion rate decrease from 463.86 tonnes/hectares/year to be 115.96 tonnes / hectares / year (estimation data by using USLE formula). The using of agroforestry had improved the people’s welfare. Agroforestry brings more benefit than potatoes monoculture system. This project is very sustainable and will not make any compromising for the Dieng’s future generation.
