Innovation Strategy of Low Carbon Technology in China: Technology for Market

Abstract—The basis and key of low carbon economy development is low carbon technological innovation. At this stage, China must fully implement the technological innovation strategy of technology-for-market. Only to fully grasp the core or key low carbon technologies and have fully the strong self-innovation capabilities of low carbon technologies, can China take the initiative in the game of global low carbon economy and is not dominated by other countries. The key to the implementation of technology-for-market strategy is to achieve the independent technological innovation and the accumulation of technological capabilities. This requires to protect the intellectual property rights.
